Founder Dan Vogelsang spent over 10 years coaching at the high scool and college level and experienced firsthand the challenges coaches face when it came to apparel. Budgets were tight, prices were high, and no matter how carefully he planned, it never seemed possible to stretch funding far enough to get all the gear his team needed.
Even more frustrating were the constant issues with apparel providers—late deliveries, order errors, poor communication, limited apparel selections, and little flexibility with graphics and design. Instead of supporting programs, the process often became another problem to manage.
Tired of settling for less, Dan decided to take matters into his own hands. He began creating apparel directly for his own team, focusing on better quality, cleaner designs, greater flexibility, and pricing that respected a coach’s budget.
For two years, he produced gear that solved the exact problems he had faced as a coach. Before long, other coaches, teams, and organizations began asking the same question:
“Where can we get this?”
That question became the foundation for MAD Graphics & Designs, LLC, which officially became a company in December of 2022.
From the beginning, MAD was built with a clear purpose: to give schools, teams, and organizations an apparel and graphics partner that truly understands their needs.

Since launching, MAD has continued to grow every year, with more and more schools, teams, and businesses seeing the benefits of working with a company that prioritizes communication, reliability, and quality. What started as apparel for one team has grown into a trusted partner for organizations looking for professional apparel and custom graphics done the right way.
As demand grew, so did MAD’s capabilities.

In 2025, MAD continued that growth by adding in-house sticker manufacturing, giving customers even more options for branding, promotion, and visibility.
